After Cyclone Ditwah: Recovery with Dignity

Cyclone Ditwah deepened the hardship faced by vulnerable Malayaham (Hill Country) communities already living with inadequate housing, poor infrastructure, and limited access to basic services. For many estate worker families, the disaster damaged homes, disrupted livelihoods, and pushed already fragile households into greater insecurity.

In response, The Social Architects (TSA) provided timely, rights-based humanitarian aid and early recovery support to affected communities. Guided by field visits and secondary data, TSA focused on reaching those most impacted and underserved.

This response was about more than relief. It was about dignity, justice, and standing in solidarity with communities too often left behind as they begin to rebuild their lives.
